Before You Fly
-
Step 1
Send a copy of the following current items to FTB :
1.) Driver’s License (front/back), 2.) Airman’s Certificate, 3.) Medical, 4.) Pilot History Form. Please send all documents in one PDF. Be sure all images are clear!
-
Step 2
Obtain a non-owned renter’s policy. These are good for a year, cover any aircraft you rent, and usually start around $200. Our minimum requirements are $250k/$25k liability with $5k hull, but you can carry more coverage if you would like. You can contact our recommended broker through Coley-Christian Aviation Insurance, go through AOPA, go with a broker of your choice, or get coverage yourself here. Fill out an application to submit (download link below). Send a copy of the policy coverage to FTB.
-
Step 3
Sign and submit the FTB Rental Agreement (see link below) and send to FTB.
Please read the FTB Operations Manual in its entirety to ensure that you understand all the rules and regulations of the company.
-
Step 4
Create an account in Flight Circle and purchase your desired block of time. You must purchase flight time before you can get checked out by our CFI. You must also complete your profile in Flight Circle with all your information (personal, pilot, insurance details) or you cannot schedule in Flight Circle.
-
Step 5
Contact our approved CFI, Andy Balogh, to schedule a checkout in the specific make and model you wish to rent. Each different MM requires a checkout, and customers will pay the CFI directly (rates may vary). Please do not contact the CFI until all previous steps have been completed and your paperwork approved.
-
Step 6
Once each of these requirements have been satisfied, you are cleared to schedule your flight time and take to the skies! Be sure to refer to our Flight Procedures page and documents for more information.
